Welcome to Photo-Paradox Photography

My name is Julia Washburn. Photography is my passion and takes up most of my free time. I love the outdoors; either it is an urban city or wilderness of a National Park I’ll always find something interesting to photograph. My favourite subjects are landscapes, flowers, structures and bridges.

The Northwest, where I live, is a very diverse and beautifil place, and there are a lot of places to see. I like to explore the places I’ve been to before, like Nisqually Refuge, and Columbia River Gorge in Oregon to where I venture quite often on long weekends. And I love going to new places.

In the spring of 2009 I have taken my first cross country trip to the Grand Canyon. It turned out to be much more than just a trip to the Grand Canyon. On my way I visited Lake Tahoe, Las Vegas, Meteor Crator, Grand Canyon, and Zion National Park. I fell in love with the desert and canyons of the South West.

In the fall of 2009 I took a photogrphy trip to South Eastern Oregon. Oregonian desert landscape was gorgeous! I took hundreds of photographs!

This year I'm making another trip down to the South West, and will be exploring Utah. Stay tuned for more photographs to come.
